This is a portfolio-owning, individual contributor role with a clear runway into development leadership as the team scales back up. You'd manage a substantial book of major gift relationships, working closely with senior institutional leadership, with strong travel support for donor visits including international trips. Title: Senior Advancement Officer
Location: Hybrid in La Verne, CA — onsite, fixed hybrid schedule
Compensation: Up to $140k in base + Benefits
Must-Haves:
- Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years of progressive frontline fundraising/advancement experience (5+ years for Senior-level track)
- Personally-attributable track record closing five- and six-figure gifts
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, including extended trips
- CRM proficiency (Raiser's Edge or comparable donor CRM)
Strong Pluses:
- Independent school or higher education advancement experience
- Advanced degree
- Background in leaner nonprofit environments requiring self-generated prospecting
- Demonstrated goal-tracking/KPI discipline
