Report directly to the owner. Lead a team of 4. Help pick the systems this company will run on for its next 30 years. $125K–$150K + bonus.
If your month-end package takes days to build and nobody reads past page one, this is the job where that changes. Here, the owner reads every page and makes decisions with it.
The Opportunity
A leader in crushed stone, recycled concrete, sand and gravel, with new plants on the way. The company's next senior finance leader will come from this seat.
What You'll Own
- Lead and develop a team of 4, reporting directly to the owner
- Month-end close and job costing
- The 13-week cash-flow forecast that steers the business
- AR/AP, audit and tax readiness
- Selection and rollout of a new ERP / job-cost system
Must have: 7+ years of accounting experience (3+ leading a team), hands-on month-end close and job costing, advanced Excel, and a bachelor's in Accounting or Finance.
Nice to have: QuickBooks, Sage, Viewpoint or Foundation; construction, building materials, manufacturing or distribution experience; ERP implementation; unit cost accounting; CPA.
Who Thrives Here
- Ready to do more than keep the books
- Energized by building systems, not just reports
- Past the ceiling where you are now
- Looking for a seat at the table, not a ticket in the queue
- You: a Senior Accountant or Assistant Controller ready to step up, or an Accounting Manager ready for real influence
Still wondering which plants are coming, which systems made the shortlist, or why the owner is creating this seat now? Ask us.
