Senior Accounting Clerk

Our client is seeking an Accounting Clerk I and II to join a collaborative accounting team. This role offers exposure to general ledger accounting, financial reporting, fixed assets, sales and use tax, and month-end close activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and post general ledger entries
• Perform account reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records
• Support month-end close activities
• Manage fixed asset accounting, depreciation, and amortization schedules
• Handle sales and use tax responsibilities
• Assist with preparing preliminary financial statements
• Analyze and interpret financial statements
• Support accounting leadership with reporting and special projects

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred (or equivalent accounting experience)
• Strong general ledger accounting experience
• Ability to prepare and interpret financial statements
• Experience with month-end accounting processes
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Effective communication and organizational abilities

Work Environment

• Monday-Friday, standard business hours
• Primarily onsite work environment
• Potential for limited remote flexibility after tenure requirements are met
