Senior Accounting Analyst

Carolina PRG has partnered with a local headquarters that has a track record of internal promotions. Due to internal growth, the Division Accounting Director is looking for a detail-oriented and ambitious Senior Accounting Analyst to join one of the fastest growing companies in Charlotte. This role is central to ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, driving efficiencies in accounting processes, and providing leadership with meaningful insights. You’ll take ownership of key accounting functions, support audits, and help strengthen the foundation for scalable growth. What You’ll Do

• Manage critical accounting activities during month-end close, ensuring financial data is complete, accurate, and delivered on schedule.
• Compile and present financial results, including detailed statements and reports, to support leadership decisions.
• Collaborate with finance and operational leaders to track budgets, monitor forecasts, and explain performance trends.
• Coordinate with external auditors by preparing supporting schedules and addressing audit requests.
• Enhance compliance and governance by reinforcing internal controls and refining accounting policies.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows and implement technology-driven improvements.
• Provide guidance and support to junior team members, encouraging professional growth and development.

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA designation (or progress toward it) is a plus.
• 2+ years of public accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and proven ability to prepare and interpret complex financial reports.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience working with major ERP platforms (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, SAP).
• Analytical thinker with a proactive approach to solving problems and improving processes.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to partner effectively across departments.
• Comfort working under pressure in an evolving, fast-moving business environment.
