Senior Accounting & Reporting Analyst
Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Senior Accounting & Reporting Analyst to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $80,000 to $100,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities:
- Execute month-end closing activities for investments, consolidations, and deposits.
- Prepare and review journal entries and financial statements for accuracy and compliance.
- Conduct fluctuation analysis and balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Support the preparation of financial statements and regulatory filings, including SEC reports.
- Collaborate with auditors and update SOX control narratives to support audit readiness.
Requirements:
- Analyze new accounting standards and coordinate with teams to ensure proper implementation.
- Prepare and review banking regulatory reports such as Call Reports and FRY schedules.
- Lead and participate in special projects to improve operational efficiency and compliance.
- Identify and implement process improvements in accounting and reporting workflows.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a master's degree is preferred.
- A CPA certification or demonstrate proficiency in US GAAP.
- 3+ years of experience in public or corporate accounting; banking experience is preferred.
- Demonstrate advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with PeopleSoft.
- Communicate complex financial information clearly and work effectively under pressure.
