As a Staff Accountant, you will focus on cost accounting and financial analysis, helping to optimize budgets, improve cost-efficiency, and ensure accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, manufacturing processes, and data analysis.What You Will DoCost System Setup & MaintenanceMaintain and update cost standard files; collaborate with manufacturing, engineering and supply chain departments to ensure accurate cost roll-upsMaintain cost system documentation and contribute to continuous process improvementsTransactional Recording & AccuracyBook sales, intercompany transfers, labor, and inventory transactions accuratelyPrepare journal entries and verify the accuracy of monthly financial statementsInventory & Cost AnalysisPrepare and reconcile monthly plant inventories and general ledger entriesCollect, analyze, and report on operational and manufacturing costsConduct annual physical inventory reconciliations and standard cost reevaluationsFinancial Reporting & Variance AnalysisGenerate financial reports and present variance analysisPerform account reconciliations and profit analysisStrategic Advisory & Budget MonitoringMonitor plant activities for alignment with financial and capital budgetsAdvise management on cost optimization strategies and process improvementsAudit & ComplianceAudit internal controls and indirect purchase reportsSupport external audit processes including Sarbanes-OxleyAssist with regulatory duties and miscellaneous financial projectsWhat We Are Looking ForBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)Minimum 2 years of experience in cost accounting or financial analysis within a manufacturing environmentExperience with Oracle, SAP, Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) or similar ERP systems (preferred)Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, work quality, and to reduce costs.
