What You'll Be Doing
Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Prepare and review complex journal entries and account reconciliations
- Support month-end and year-end close activities
- Conduct accounting research and analysis to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Prepare financial reports and analyses for leadership teams
- Maintain accrual, amortization, and other accounting schedules
Process Improvement & Controls
- Evaluate and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Identify automation opportunities and recommend process efficiencies
- Partner cross-functionally to strengthen financial processes and reduce risk
Audit & Compliance
- Coordinate external and regulatory audits
- Manage audit requests and collaborate with auditors and key stakeholders
- Support compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies
Leadership & Project Support
- Mentor and support junior accounting staff
- Review work products and provide guidance on technical accounting matters
- Lead special projects and cross-functional initiatives
- Present recommendations and insights to management
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles
- Advanced Excel skills
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA, MBA, or Master's in Accounting
- Financial services industry experience
- NetSuite ERP experience
- Experience with SQL, reporting tools, or data analytics
- Proven process improvement and automation experience
