Senior Accountant

A Leading Consumer Products Company located in Bergen County, NJ is searching for a Senior Accountant who will have the following responsibilities:

• Oversee daily general ledger operations and ensure accurate financial recordkeeping.
• Record and review journal entries while maintaining organized supporting schedules.
• Participate in month-end, quarter-end, and annual closing activities.
• Compile financial reports, including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statements.
• Complete account reconciliations and research discrepancies as needed.
• Contribute to management reporting and provide analysis of financial results.
• Support inventory accounting functions, including cycle count adjustments and reconciliations.
• Track fixed asset activity and maintain depreciation records.
• Coordinate audit requests and assist external auditors during annual reviews.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen accounting procedures and enhance operational efficiency.

Qualified candidates for the Senior Accountant role should possess:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of experience
• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills required.

The total compensation range for this opportunity is $75,000 to $85,000 plus bonus with excellent benefits.
