Senior Accountant

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Cost Accountant to oversee inventory accounting, analyze manufacturing costs, and ensure accurate financial reporting across inventory and cost of goods sold.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of inventory controls, cost analysis, and month-end close activities while working closely with Finance and Operations to improve cost accuracy, strengthen reporting processes, and support business decisions.

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented accounting professional with extensive manufacturing cost accounting experience who can troubleshoot complex inventory transactions, identify cost variances, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Skills, Knowledge & Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• Strong understanding of inventory accounting, inventory valuation, and standard costing methodologies
• Hands-on experience reviewing, reconciling, and troubleshooting high volumes of inventory transactions
• Experience with month-end close, general ledger reconciliations, and cost of goods sold reporting
• Ability to analyze material, labor, and overhead costs and investigate variances
• Experience maintaining product cost structures, reviewing bills of materials, and analyzing profit margins
• Knowledge of inventory reserves, cycle counts, and physical inventory reconciliation
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables and data analysis
• Experience with ERP systems; NetSuite or BatchMaster is preferred
• Ability to maintain accurate financial records and detailed supporting documentation
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with Finance, Manufacturing, and Operations teams
• High level of attention to detail and commitment to financial accuracy
• Self-motivated professional who can work independently, manage competing deadlines, and identify opportunities for process improvement
