Senior Accountant

Jefferson Wells has a long-term project for Senior Accountant

Location: Onsite (5 days/week required) Salisbury NC

Rate 55 hr W2

Key Responsibilities:

  Lead and support month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations

  n

• n

  Perform financial reporting, analysis, and forecasting related to distribution and supply chain operations

  n
n
• n

  Support accounting functions across multiple national distribution centers

  n
n
• n

  Oversee and provide guidance to two analysts (one U.S.-based, one offshore in India)

  n
n
• n

  Partner with supply chain and operations teams to analyze costs and ensure accurate financial reporting

  n
n
• n

  Assist with distribution costing and inventory-related accounting (limited inventory complexity)

  n
n
• n

  Follow and execute established SOPs; identify opportunities for process improvement

  n
n
• n

  Support system transitions and onboarding (Oracle ERP, SmartView, Google Cloud SQL)

  n
n

Qualifications:

n
• n

  Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

  n
n
• n

  5+ years of accounting experience, with exposure to distribution or supply chain environments preferred

  n
n
• n

  Strong experience with month-end close, accruals, and financial analysis

  n
n
• n

  Familiarity with inventory and costing concepts within a distribution setting

  n
n
• n

  Experience managing or mentoring staff, including offshore resources

  n
n
• n

  Experience with Oracle ERP preferred; SmartView experience a plus

  n
n
• n

  Strong technical aptitude and ability to quickly learn new systems

  n
n
• n

  Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment

  n
n
