Reporting to the Maritime Sector Controller, this role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of program related accounting information, including revenue and balance sheet reporting.
The position will manage revenue recognition evaluations, inventory assessments, estimate at completion (EAC) profit analysis, and other critical project accounting activities. The ideal candidate possesses strong communication, analytical ability, and a solid technical accounting foundation.Essential Functions:Complete complex Contract Review Worksheets (CRWs) to determine revenue recognition under ASC 606Review project and contract setup within the ERP systemPerform quarterly inventory net realizable value (NRV) assessments for contract and non contract inventoryPrepare quarterly income statement flux analyses explaining significant variances as well as quarterly EAC profit change reportingReview EACs for compliance with corporate accounting policies and US GAAPAnalyze large data sets effectively using advanced Excel skillsCalculate and prepare documentation for monthly accruals including program related and warranty accrualsPrepare program related monthly and quarterly Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) schedules for external reporting as well as ad hoc reports and support special projects as neededIdentify and recommend process improvementsSupport internal and external audits including SOX and Self Evaluation TestingAbility to obtain US Government security clearanceQualifications:Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience; Or, Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience; Or, in lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experiencePreferred Additional Skills:Experience with US GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley requirementsExperience supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with multiple deadlinesExperience facilitating internal and external auditsAbility to develop effective, collaborative relationships across teamsCertified Public Accountant (CPA)Experience in public accounting or internal auditExperience with Costpoint ERP or SAP S/4HANA as well as with HyperionL3Harris Technologies is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
