Senior Accountant (Direct Hire)Location: Charlotte, NCPay: $85,000–$95,000 annuallyBenefits: This position is eligible for health, dental, vision, insurance, and 401(K).Job Description:The Senior Accountant will play a key role in supporting the month-end close process, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and operational analysis. This position will partner closely with leadership to provide insight into financial performance while helping improve accounting processes and controls as the company continues to scale.The ideal candidate will bring a strong accounting foundation, advanced Excel skills, and experience working in a fast-paced environment. Candidates coming from public accounting or large multi-entity organizations are highly encouraged to apply.Key Responsibilities:Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparationAnalyze financial results and provide leadership with explanations for fluctuations and performance trendsReconcile complex balance sheet accounts such as accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and payroll-related accountsMaintain schedules related to fixed assets, amortization, leases, debt, and other key accounting areasAssist with audit preparation and respond to requests from external auditorsEnsure accounting practices remain compliant with GAAP standards and internal policiesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to improve accounting workflows and reporting accuracyAssist with ad hoc reporting, financial analysis, and special projects as neededSupport junior team members and contribute to a collaborative accounting environmentQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required2–4+ years of accounting experience requiredPublic accounting experience strongly preferredCPA or CPA-track preferredExperience working in healthcare, retail, or multi-location environments is a plusAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills required, including pivot tables, lookups, and complex formulasExperience with ERP systems such as NetSuite preferredFamiliarity with Power BI or financial reporting tools is a plusStrong analytical, organizational, and communication skillsAdditional Details:Hybrid schedule: 4 days onsite, 1 remote day weeklyStandard hours are approximately 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM with some flexibilityLimited overtime expected outside of month-end close periodsOpportunity for advancement into Accounting Manager-level responsibilities within the next few years due to company growthPerks:Competitive compensation packageCareer growth and leadership development opportunitiesStable and expanding organizationCollaborative team environmentHybrid work scheduleBusiness casual office settingExposure to executive leadership and strategic initiativesAddison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
