Senior AccountantThe Senior Accounting Analyst is responsible for executing key accounting and financial reporting functions, including monthly close, account reconciliations, performance analysis, and forecasting support. The position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and providing actionable insights to support business operations. This is a full-time, in-office role based in Deerfield Beach, Florida.
Remote or hybrid arrangements are not available.Key ResponsibilitiesExecute monthly close activities, including journal entries, income statement updates, and general ledger maintenancePerform account reconciliations and lead balance sheet reviews to ensure accuracy and complianceAnalyze financial performance against budget, forecast, and prior periodsPrepare and maintain financial reports and dashboards for internal stakeholdersSupport budget and forecasting cycles, including maintenance of rolling projection modelsConduct variance analysis and identify key business driversPartner with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of financial and operational reportingRespond to audit requests and assist in preparing supporting documentationProvide ad hoc financial analysis to support senior leadershipRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldCPA license or progress toward certification.Minimum 3 years of experience in public accounting or a corporate accounting/finance role in a senior-level accounting position.Strong knowledge of monthly close processes and account reconciliationsProficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and financial modeling)Experience creating executive-ready presentations in PowerPointFamiliarity with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, or IntacctStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsAbility to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentPreferred AttributesExperience at a Big 4 accounting firm.Experience with multi-entity or multi-unit accounting.Exposure to business intelligence/reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SQL)Familiarity with financial planning tools such as Hyperion or DatarailsAbility to collaborate across functions and influence stakeholdersDemonstrated mentorship mindset and team-oriented work styleStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAdditional InformationThis is an on-site position based in Deerfield Beach, FL.
