This individual will help support affiliated companies within The Agora universe with their accounting, reporting, and analytical needs.In order to succeed, you have to have an open mind, a positive attitude, and a willingness to take on any challenge. We look for people who display a willingness to explore solutions to problems without requiring hand-holding. We need someone with an understanding of general ledger accounting, a proficiency in Excel, and the utmost attention to detail.Responsibilities:Overseeing the full-cycle accounting process for multiple affiliates under the Agora umbrellaLeading the monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing processes for various affiliated entitiesPerforming complex balance sheet, intercompany, and bank reconciliationsManaging revenue and expense allocations and entriesOverseeing invoice preparation, coding review, and ensuring compliance with company policiesConducting detailed financial analyses and producing high-quality financial reportsLeading ad hoc financial, accounting, and analytical projectsIdentifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracySupporting junior staff with mentorship and guidanceTaking on other high-level projects and responsibilities as neededQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent training; CPA or advanced degree is a plus4-6 years of accounting experience, with a proven track record in senior or supervisory rolesAdvanced experience with Microsoft Excel; proficiency in OutlookExperience with NetSuite and Concur strongly preferredStrong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearlyAbility to manage multiple priorities and thrive under pressure in a dynamic work environmentExceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracyA proactive attitude with a willingness to take on tasks of all sizesA continuous improvement mindset, always looking for ways to enhance processesSelf-motivated, confident, and passionate about delivering top-tier serviceCompensation Range – $80,000 to $90,000Location(s) & Work Arrangement – Mount Vernon, Baltimore / Hybrid (3 days in-office/2 days remote)We offer a wide variety of benefits, programs, and services to our employees, including:Medical, vision, and dental insurance plans401(k) plan with employer matchingGenerous vacation time and paid holidaysCasual dress codeHighly flexible environmentEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
