Base pay range

$90,000.00/yr - $110,000.00/yr

Insight Global is looking for a Sr. Accountant to joing a global insurance company in Boston, MA. This role will require candidates to report into the office 4 days a week, with 1 day remote. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in corporate GL accounting, preparinging financial statements/reports, supporting month/year end close, etc. If you're interested in learning more, please apply!

Specific Responsibilities

• Prepare and post monthly general ledger journal entries.
• Monitor and maintain detailed accounts payable records and process the payment of all invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
• Complete accounting reconciliations including bank, accounts receivable, accounts payable, inter-company and technical underwriting balances.
• Maintain a monthly financial close timetable to ensure timely and accurate record keeping.
• Prepare financial analysis to support the activities of outsourced service providers.
• Drive continuous process improvement and efficiencies to position the finance function for growth.
• Support senior management in commercial and operational decision making.
• Support the activities of external auditors.
• Document and maintain accounting policies and procedures, controls and systems ensuring consistency and accuracy of application.
• Management of ad hoc projects independently, providing timely and accurate conclusions.
• 5 years of accounting/finance work experience-insurance industry a plus
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Proficient in word processing and spreadsheet software
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
