ThinkingAhead Executive Search is partnering with a well-established general contractor and design-build construction company in Wisconsin to find a Senior Accountant. This is a hybrid, full-time, direct-hire role. The company builds commercial, industrial, civic, and specialized projects, and its finance team is collaborative and close-knit. You’ll lead monthly financial statement reporting and account reconciliations, and you’ll work directly with the Controller and CFO on the company’s core financial reporting.
What You’ll Do
- Lead preparation of the monthly financial statements, with accurate and timely reporting to the Controller and CFO
- Perform and own account reconciliations across the general ledger
- Prepare and process year-end W-2s and 1099s
- Complete credit applications for the company
- Gain broad exposure to tax and compliance work in a focused general accounting role, rather than one narrow function
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Accounting experience in the construction industry
- Experience with Viewpoint software
Position Details

- Competitive base salary of $75K to $100K, plus an annual bonus
