Salary: $78,000-$108,000

Schedule: Monday-Thursday onsite, Friday remote | 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Must Haves:

• 5+ years of accounting and/or financial reporting experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related quantitative discipline
• Strong month-end close and general ledger accounting experience
• Hands-on experience preparing journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
• Experience performing variance analysis and explaining revenue/expense fluctuations
• Ability to perform technical accounting research and prepare accounting memos
• Strong understanding of GAAP
• Experience working with SOX/internal controls
• Experience supporting forecasting, budgeting, or strategic outlook processes

• Experience within public accounting or a large/complex corporate environment

Job Description:

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Accountant/Accounting Advisor to support complex accounting activities related to the accurate and timely close of the general ledger. This individual will own and support month-end close activities, account reconciliations, variance analysis, technical accounting research, and forecasting while partnering cross-functionally across the business.

The ideal candidate has a strong corporate accounting foundation and can go beyond preparing entries to research accounting issues, understand financial drivers, explain variances, and support forward-looking forecasting activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the month-end close process and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
• Review general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies or unusual activity
• Analyze revenue and expense results and provide clear variance explanations
• Perform technical accounting research and document conclusions through accounting memos
• Ensure account balances comply with GAAP, SOX, and internal control requirements
• Support forecasting and strategic outlook processes
• Partner with Finance and business teams to understand forecast assumptions and financial impacts
• Assist with fixed assets, lease/contract reviews, and budget variance analysis
• Lead or contribute to process improvement, compliance, and accounting initiatives
• Review work and provide guidance to junior accounting professionals

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Senior Accountant-level candidate with roughly 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong hands-on corporate accounting foundation rather than someone primarily focused on FP&A
• Comfortable independently owning pieces of the close process
• Able to research and explain the "why" behind accounting results, not simply process transactions
• Strong combination of technical accounting + variance analysis + forecasting
• Public accounting or large-company experience is especially valuable
