Senior Accountant

Headfarmer is partnering with a well-established, local architectural firm in Scottsdale, Arizona. We are hiring a Senior Accountant on a consulting/interim basis to own month end accounting functions, along with supporting accounts payable and payroll activities.

Compensation is up to $55 per hour, and you must be available to interview and start ASAP!

Work model: Hybrid- 2 to 3 days/week remote

Your primary job functions will include, but aren’t limited to:

• Preparing and reviewing journal entries, reconciliations and supporting month end schedules
• Overseeing daily cash management and accounts payable activities, including expense report processing and vendor payment processing
• Reviewing employee timesheets, reconciling payroll accounts and assisting with backup payroll processing as necessary
• Assisting with fixed asset and lease accounting functions, along with financial reporting preparation and financial reporting
• Supporting senior management with Ad Hoc projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned

Education, qualifications and skills required:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business required
• Over 3 years of corporate accounting experience focused on transactional and month end functions
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP software, like Sage Intacct, NetSuite or similar
• Excellent knowledge of GAAP and ability to meet tight month end checklist
• Exceptional attention to detail, problem solving abilities and prioritization skills
• Above-average collaboration and communication skills, both verbal and written
