Pay: $110,000 – $130,000 per year

About Us

We're a San Diego-based healthcare management services organization supporting a group of cardiology, vascular, imaging, and surgical practices, along with related real estate holding companies. Our accounting team handles a multi-entity structure with management fee arrangements, intercompany activity, and healthcare-specific revenue, and we're in the middle of moving to Sage Intacct.

We're looking for a Senior Accountant who is strong technically and always looking for a better way to get things done, including using AI tools to automate reconciliations, variance analysis, financial analyses, and close tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting transactions across multiple entities
• Own and supervise the monthly close, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and research on proper accounting treatment
• Prepare and/or review intercompany transactions, management fees, and eliminations; generate intercompany invoices as needed
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for multiple entities
• Prepare financial analyses and identify discrepancies, trends, and key indicators
• Work with bookkeeping staff to improve procedures and efficiency
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting
• Help develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Support system implementations and integrations, including our Sage Intacct rollout
• Coordinate annual audits and assist with tax compliance
• Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• At least 5 years of private/industry accounting experience, including ownership of the month-end close for multiple entities
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP
• Experience with intercompany accounting and consolidations
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience with a multi-entity ERP (Sage Intacct, NetSuite, or similar) strongly preferred; QuickBooks Online experience a plus
• Healthcare experience a plus
• CPA or CMA a plus
• Hands-on use of AI tools to automate manual work and improve the speed and accuracy of reporting and financial analyses
• Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing multiple deadlines
• Clear written and verbal communication; works well independently and with a team
• Available for extended hours around month-end as needed
