Senior Accountant

Addison Group has partnered with a private equity-backed telecommunications company to identify a Senior Accountant. Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post monthly journal entries, perform account reconciliations, and support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies, working cross-functionally with internal departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Maintain fixed asset records, depreciation schedules, and general ledger accounts.
• Support accounts payable, inventory accounting, and project costing activities, including work-in-progress (WIP) accounting.
• Assist with annual audits, including preparing supporting schedules and documentation.
• Evaluate existing manual accounting processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls.
• Participate in special projects, including an upcoming ERP implementation, process standardization, and automation initiatives.
• Collaborate with accounting leadership and other departments to improve financial reporting and streamline accounting workflows.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally with a strong foundation in general ledger accounting and month-end close.
• Experience in public accounting, corporate accounting, or a combination of both will be considered.
• Strong understanding of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience working with accounting or ERP systems.
• Demonstrated ability to identify inefficiencies, improve processes, and independently research and resolve accounting issues.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
• Experience in construction or project accounting, including project costing and WIP, is a plus but not required.
• Experience working in a private equity-backed or high-growth environment is a plus. xhqgsiq

Compensation & Benefits:

• Base Salary: $90,000–$110,000
• Discretionary annual bonus
• Remote work flexibility with company-paid monthly travel to Champaign, IL
