About the Company: Our large technology client is seeking a solid Senior Accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will have public accounting experience with a mid-tier or larger firm as well as solid financial reporting experience and advanced knowledge of Excel. This role will be highly visible to senior leadership and will be vital to enhancing the financial operations and contribute meaningfully to the organizational goals.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and company policies
- Contribute to the month-end and year-end closing processes
- Reconcile complex accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly
- Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate
- Manage general ledger accounting functions and ensure appropriate controls are in place
- Provide variance analysis and deliver insightful dashboard reports & KPIs for senior leadership
- Support process improvement efforts and various business objectives by streamlining & automating processes
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
- Minimum 4+ years of technical accounting experience, ideally within public accounting
- CPA strongly preferred (completed or in process)
- Solid systems knowledge within ERPs or other reporting tools as well as Advanced Excel
- Demonstrated attention to detail and strong analytical skills & problem solving
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with a team and across various departments
- Desire to work in person and collaborate in the office - NOT a remote role
