To support the financial operations of a growing organization, the full-time remote New York Senior Accountant will manage accurate financial records, prepare financial statements, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Key responsibilities Participate in the month-end close process, including monthly reporting and variance analysis Perform reconciliations of bank accounts and general ledger accounts in accordance with policies and procedures Assist in the preparation of financial statements and coordinate financial audits and regulatory examinations Required qualifications Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred 5+ years of experience in accounting, with a minimum of 3 years in a similar position at a bank or credit union In-depth knowledge of GAAP and regulatory compliance for financial reporting Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel; experience with general ledger systems is a plus Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex financial data
