Senior Accountant

Whitecap Search is seeking a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills to perform critical accounting functions. This role requires expertise in managing financial processes and collaborating with various departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Responsibilities

• Hands-on management of month-end close process, reconciliations, and related reporting and disclosure requirements.
• Coordinate with external auditors and internal departments, including divisional directors of finance, FP&A, Tax, and Treasury.
• Design and implement accounting policies and procedures related to new product launches.
• Prepare analysis of revenue, performance trends, bad debt expense, and variance explanation reports for senior management.
• Review and communicate on deal arrangements and provide education to the business on revenue accounting impacts.
• Prepare and file all necessary regulatory reports.
• Prepare and disburse payment on all revenue sharing arrangements.
• Assist the Director of Consolidations, Reporting & Technical Accounting with quarterly and annual reporting and technical accounting issues as they arise.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with a focus on financial reporting and analysis.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial regulations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with various stakeholders.
