Senior Accountant | St. Louis, MO – On-Site at The Gatesworth
The Gatesworth Communities is hiring a Senior Accountant to join our corporate finance team — full-cycle accounting supporting our four-community portfolio in St. Louis.
The Role:
- Own monthly close across four communities (journal entries, reconciliations, accrual/prepaid schedules)
- Prepare monthly financials + budget-to-actual variance by community
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations, including security deposits and bank accounts
- Oversee resident billing and revenue recognition (move-ins, move-outs, ancillary charges)
- Review AR aging and coordinate collections
- Review and approve AP vendor invoices
- Support annual audits, tax filings, and cost reports
- Assist with annual budgeting
- Maintain internal controls over cash, billing, disbursements
- Reconcile intercompany transactions, maintain fixed asset records
- Prepare Missouri sales/use tax returns
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance (required)
- 5+ years accounting experience
- GAAP knowledge, advanced Excel
- ERP/accounting systems proficiency
- CPA preferred
- Multi-entity, public accounting, or senior healthcare experience a plus
On-Site Requirement: Must be available to work on-site in St. Louis immediately. No relocation assistance; not remote/hybrid.
