Senior Accountant

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $90,000 to $110,000 per year.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform full cycle accounting by preparing journal entries completing reconciliations and supporting month end and year end close activities.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements for monthly quarterly and annual reporting while supporting audit and tax requests.
• Maintain and analyze cost and job accounting including standard costing inventory work in process and margin analysis.
• Apply revenue recognition standards by reviewing contracts partnering with operations and ensuring accurate cutoff and allocation.
• Manage operational accounting tasks including fixed assets intercompany activity foreign currency transactions and key balance sheet accounts.

Requirements:

• A Bachelors degree in accounting or finance.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience preferably within manufacturing or engineering environments.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of accounting principles including revenue recognition requirements.
• Possess hands on experience with cost inventory and job accounting practices.
• Use enterprise accounting systems effectively and manage work independently with strong attention to detail.

Qualifications:

• Prepare detailed balance sheet reconciliations and conduct variance analysis to ensure reporting accuracy.
• Support multi entity accounting structures including intercompany eliminations and currency remeasurement.
• Improve close processes accounting workflows and internal controls for greater efficiency and reliability.
• Maintain depreciation amortization and capital project accounts while resolving historical issues.
• Bring professional certification international accounting exposure or prior process improvement experience considered beneficial.
