Our client is seeking a motivated Senior Accountant to join a growing finance team and report directly to the Controller. This role offers broad exposure across the accounting function within a fast‑paced organization and industry. The ideal candidate is eager to deepen their technical accounting expertise while taking on meaningful responsibility and contributing to process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, schedules, and general ledger activity
- Perform and review monthly account reconciliations, including cash, credit cards, prepaid expenses, accruals, fixed assets, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
- Manage and oversee the accounts payable process, including invoice review, vendor payments, payment tracking, and related reporting
- Coordinate and supervise work completed by offshore accounting partners
- Lead or support cross‑functional initiatives, including system implementations and process enhancements
- Develop customized and ad‑hoc financial reports for leadership and internal stakeholders
- Apply and explain U.S. GAAP concepts across accounting activities
- Handle day‑to‑day bookkeeping and transactional accounting within NetSuite
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a closely related discipline
- Minimum of 2 years of professional accounting experience
- Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals and financial statements
- Advanced Excel proficiency (including lookups, pivot tables, and complex formulas)
- Experience with NetSuite preferred but not required
- Comfortable operating in an environment with shifting priorities and evolving processes
- Proactive, detail‑oriented, and eager to learn
- Able to collaborate effectively with teams across multiple functions
