You'll have the opportunity to contribute to a collaborative finance team, take ownership of meaningful accounting work, and continue building your skills in a manufacturing environment.Job SummaryThe Senior Accountant is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting through the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, financial analysis, and support of the month-end close process.

This position collaborates with cross-functional teams across the organization, assists with fixed asset and capital expenditure accounting, supports annual audits, and helps drive continuous improvement initiatives within both finance and business operations.Essential FunctionsPrepares monthly balance sheet and income statement journal entriesReconciles general ledger accounts, including complex and intercompany accounts and collaborates with others to resolve reconciling items as neededSupports month-end close process and the timely closing of the booksAssists with month-end reviews and trend analysisAssists with month-end inventory, revenue, and costing reportingResearches and analyzes complex financial results, and accounting issuesAssists with department budget-to-actual expense reviews and related financial discussionsAssists with operational ad hoc reportingAssists in driving departmental process improvementsAssists in driving operational process improvementsSupports external auditors by gathering account information and documentation required for the annual auditMaintains current knowledge of accounting standards, practices and proceduresHandles stress in a professional manner, demonstrates the ability to get along with others, demonstrates successful attendance and punctuality, and works overtime / extra hours as required to meet business needsPerforms other related duties as assignedRequired SkillsKnowledge of general financial accounting practicesStrong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP)Demonstrated ability to perform complex accounting functionsProficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with ERP systemsStrong organizational and time management skillsProven ability to meet deadlines and manage competing prioritiesExceptional attention to detail and accuracyStrong collaboration and teamwork skillsEffective verbal and written communication skillsEducation / ExperienceBachelor's degree in accounting requiredMinimum five years of progressive accounting experience requiredManufacturing industry experience highly preferredCosting experience highly preferredThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
