The role reports directly to the Controller (who's awesome, down to earth, great guy) and offers broad ownership across the accounting function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Help manage grant accounting
- Support month-end close, journal entries, account analysis, and financial reporting
- Own balance sheet and bank reconciliations and maintain supporting schedules
- Manage government and private grants/contracts, including program budgets, reporting, compliance, and funding requirements
- Oversee key aspects of AP, purchasing, cash management, and banking
- Partner directly with the Controller on accounting projects, compliance, and process improvements
What They’re Looking For:
- At least 3 years of hands-on grant and/or contract management experience
- Strong understanding of GL accounting, reconciliations, AP, and month-end close
- Experience with government-funded programs and multi-source funding is a plus
