I'm partnering with a rapidly growing financial services startup that is building a next-generation platform at the intersection of banking, payments, digital assets, and capital markets. With approximately 30 employees and significant growth plans ahead, this is an exceptional opportunity to join an early-stage organization and help build the accounting and finance infrastructure from the ground up.

Overview

• Hybrid model (4 days/week in office)

Responsibilities

• Lead core accounting operations and month-end close activities
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements
• Assist with regulatory and financial reporting requirements, including Call Reports
• Support accounting system implementations and process improvements
• Build scalable policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Utilize AI and automation tools to enhance accounting workflows and strengthen controls
• Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and FP&A initiatives
• Support reporting requirements within regulated financial services environments
• Work cross-functionally with operations, compliance, technology, and leadership teams

Ideal Background

• CPA preferred
• Big 4 background strongly preferred (any industry)
• Strong accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls experience
• Exposure to financial services, fintech, banking, or other regulated industries is a plus
• Comfortable building processes and controls in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
• Entrepreneurial, hands-on, and excited to leverage AI and automation to improve accounting operations and reporting
