Senior Accountant

Our client, a SaaS AI Tech Firm is seeking an experienced accounting professional to join their team as a Senior Accountant.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules for the monthly, quarterly, and annual close.
• Review general ledger activity, investigate discrepancies, and explain changes in financial results.
• Prepare financial statements and other reports for internal stakeholders.
• Research accounting questions and document conclusions in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Review how transactions flow into the general ledger and resolve recording issues with the appropriate teams.
• Support external audits by preparing schedules and responding to information requests.
• Strengthen accounting procedures, documentation, and controls.
• Assist with accounting systems and other projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3–5+ years of accounting experience in public accounting, industry, or both.
• CPA or active CPA candidate preferred.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, general ledger accounting, and the financial close process.
• Experience with accounting systems and advanced Excel skills.
• Experience preparing or supporting financial statements and external audits.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to work independently and across teams.
