A well-established national distribution company is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their growing accounting team.

What You'll Do:
- Review general ledger activity and prepare month-end closing entries, with a focus on inventory and gross margin accounts
- Analyze complex financial data using PowerBI and Alteryx to reconcile subledger and general ledger data sets
- Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations
- Research and resolve account discrepancies
- Partner with Accounts Payable, Payroll, FP&A, and Operations to support the close process
- Help lead best practice initiatives to standardize and scale accounting processes
- Perform variance analyses and investigate material trends
- Support interim and annual audits, including preparing schedules and coordinating with other departments
- Prepare financial statement footnotes for bank reporting
- Assist with documenting accounting processes and internal controls
- Coordinate accounting projects across teams and departments
- Participate in system implementations and ad hoc projects
What You Bring:
- Bachelor's xhqgsiq degree in Accounting preferred
- 3+ years of accounting experience, ideally a mix of public and private
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP
- Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with high data volumes
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-first mindset
