Senior Accountant

Senior AccountantWe are looking for a Senior Accountant to join an industry-leading organization to lead key efforts for the financial team. The key focus of this role is to help oversee all aspects of financial reporting, month-end close, account reconciliation and analysis, and preparation of GAAP financial statements and disclosures. If you are interested in learning more about this opportunity, please reach out to us to learn more.Responsibilities:Assist with design and implementation of financial reporting enhancements across the companyPrepare year end audit schedules and assist the auditors with their inquiriesActively participate in monthly, quarterly, and yearly accounting close processes by performing activities, including account reconciliations, journal entry preparations, management reports, as well as other financial analyses and reports that may be required by the managementAssist in multi-entity GAAP financial statement preparation, including footnote disclosures and consolidationsConduct special projects in addition to ad hoc analysis and reportingRecommend to management any updates to accounting policiesTechnical accounting researchAssist with budgeting and proformas, as neededActive team member in changes to comply with new accounting standardsRequirements:Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA Preferred)3+ years of Accounting and Financial Reporting experienceExperience with financial statement preparation and GAAP researchAdvanced Excel skillsKnowledge of FASB requirements, Generally Accepted Accounting PrinciplesExperience working with an ERP system, Oracle experience preferredExperience working with IBM Planning and Analysis is a plusAbility to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction to accomplish objectivesAbility to research issues, make recommendations, and pick up quickly on new systems and processesExcellent interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills
