Senior Accountant

Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join a centralized Accounting team supporting multiple operating entities and departments. This position will play an important role in preparing accurate and timely monthly financial statements, maintaining financial records, and supporting the organization’s overall financial reporting and operational objectives.

The Senior Staff Accountant will work closely with Finance and Accounting professionals across the organization and provide accounting, financial reporting, and analytical support to multiple business operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide accounting, financial reporting, and analytical support to multiple operating entities and business units, as well as corporate administrative departments.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules for assigned entities and departments.
• Perform balance sheet account reconciliations, investigate variances, and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Partner with senior Finance and Accounting professionals and operational teams to ensure expenses are accurately monitored, recorded, and reported.
• Perform detailed variance analysis comparing actual results against budgets, forecasts, and prior periods.
• Support the annual budgeting process, including preparation of budget materials, financial analysis, and management reporting.
• Prepare and monitor accounts receivable billings for third-party managed properties and other applicable business relationships.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities to ensure financial reporting deadlines are met accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate and organized accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Collaborate with Accounting and Finance team members to identify and resolve accounting issues and improve reporting processes.
• Participate in special projects, financial analyses, process improvements, and other accounting initiatives as needed.
• Provide additional accounting and analytical support to Finance leadership as requested.
