We are seeking a Senior Accountant to support our Americas accounting function and play a critical role in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence within a publicly traded company.Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will be a key contributor to the month-end close process, equity accounting activities, and the ongoing enhancement of our internal control environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented, proactive professional who enjoys solving problems, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and making meaningful improvements in a fast-paced, evolving environment.If you're looking for a role that combines technical accounting expertise, leadership opportunities, and continuous improvement initiatives within a global organization, we'd love to hear from you.What You Will Do:Prepare, review, and post journal entries across various accounting areas in support of the monthly close processPerform and review account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely resolution of reconciling itemsSupport a fast-paced close process, including variance analysis, flux explanations, and presentation of financial results in monthly accounting close meetingsMaintain ownership of assigned areas of the general ledger, ensuring accounting is in accordance with U.S. GAAPOwn the end-to-end equity accounting process, including coordination with external administrators and advisorsPrepare and review stock-based compensation accounting, entries, and supporting schedulesPerform technical accounting research and support the preparation of accounting memos for complex or non-routine transactionsDrive continuous improvement initiatives across accounting processes, including close optimization, automation opportunities, and standardizationMaintain and enhance documentation of accounting processes and proceduresServe as both a control owner and reviewer for key SOX controlsSupport internal and external audit requests, including walkthroughs, testing, and documentation preparationProvide functional oversight, guidance, and review support to staff accountantsPartner with cross-functional teams across finance, operations, and other business functionsWhat It Takes:4+ years of progressive accounting experienceBackground in public accounting with exposure to publicly traded companiesExperience working in a SOX-compliant environmentStrong knowledge of U.S.
