About the job Senior Accountant (Life Sciences)

The role will oversee month-end close, but will also have involvement in budgeting, finance, as well as reporting and ad-hoc projects.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in yearly budget process
- Month end, quarter end, year end close
- Responsible for the posting of cash transactions
- Review and analysis of P&L / Balance sheet accounts
- Assist with preparation of SEC filings including 10K / 10Q
- Prepare account reconciliation files for new month end
- Assist in annual audit performed by external auditors, including the preparation of adequate workpapers that support the financial statements.
- Ensure organizations financial transactions are properly recorded in the correct accounts within the GL, in compliance with GAAP
- Business partner cross-functionally with department heads / members to streamline and find efficiencies in the month end process as well as other areas of accounting
- Other projects as assigned
Experience Necessary:
- 3+ years general ledger/month end close experience
- Public Accounting experience is a plus
- CPA is a plus
- Life Sciences / Pharmaceuticals / Biotech experience is a plus (not required))
- Public company experience a plus
