Job Description
- Prepare management information and reporting for the senior team and the Board
- Support the annual planning process, building and maintaining planning, forecasting and scenario models covering P&L, balance sheet and cash flow
- Develop expense, premium and cash flow tracking and reporting as the business grows
- Prepare analysis and commentary on business performance
- Support the preparation of group and entity reporting under US GAAP and local GAAP, including consolidation and intercompany accounting
- Assist with US statutory reporting for the US insurance entity
- Support the month-end close, including journals, accruals and balance sheet reconciliations
- Support year-end audits and the preparation of statutory accounts for group entities
- Contribute to the documentation of accounting policies, processes and controls
- Act as the day-to-day point of contact between the finance team and the outsourced accounting provider
- Review the work delivered, ensuring the ledger is accurate, complete and up to date
- Work with the Finance Systems Lead to design, build and test finance processes and systems
- Identify opportunities to simplify and automate processes
- Contribute to projects as the business grows, including new systems, entities and markets
- Support the wider finance team at peak periods, including tax and finance operations
Qualifications:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent)
- Approx. xhqgsiq three years’ post-qualification experience
- Experience in the insurance sector
- Exposure to US GAAP
- Exposure to US statutory accounting and reporting
