Key Responsibilities for the Senior Accountant:
• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and month-end close
• Prepare financial reports and assist with financial analysis to support business decisions
• Partner with project managers to track budgets, job costs, and contract billings
• Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes
• Assist in developing and refining accounting policies and internal controls
• Prepare for annual audits and ensure compliance with GAAP
• Identify process improvement opportunities and help implement best practices
Qualifications for the Senior Accountant:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA a plus
• 4+ years of accounting experience; construction, real estate, or project-based experience preferred
• Strong understanding of job costing and percentage-of-completion accounting
• Proficiency with accounting software and Excel
• Detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate in a close-knit team environment
