Senior Accountant

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $85,000 to $105,000 per year. Job Responsibilities:

• Lead and support the month end close process by preparing journal entries completing reconciliations and reviewing variances.
• Manage accounting for project based construction activity including review and analysis of work in progress schedules.
• Monitor job costs ensure proper revenue recognition and maintain accurate project level records.
• Prepare cash forecasts and partner with leadership to support cash flow planning and financial decision making.
• Collaborate with office operations on payroll administrative support and assist with systems transitions and daily accounting needs.

• Bring a strong accounting foundation with hands on experience managing day to day responsibilities.
• Have experience with unit based or project based accounting and ability to analyze work in progress data.
• Possess month end close experience including reconciliations and financial review.
• Demonstrate capability in cash forecasting and working comfortably in detailed transactional work.
• Operate independently while contributing effectively within a small team environment.

• Provide clear financial insights to leadership and support informed operational decisions.
• Step in where needed to keep accounting processes accurate timely and running smoothly.
• Adapt well in environments undergoing systems changes with exposure to upcoming enterprise implementations.
• Bring experience in construction or a similar project driven setting considered beneficial.
• Show ownership accountability and a process improvement mindset while working closely with a lean accounting team.
