Senior Accountant - Healthcare

Senior AccountantPosition Summary The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing general accounting operations and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting for a growing Home Health organization. This role requires a detail-oriented finance professional with at least 3 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within healthcare or home health. The Senior Accountant will support month-end close, reimbursement analysis, revenue recognition, and regulatory compliance.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and execute monthly, quarterly, and annual close processesPrepare and review journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliationsManage general ledger integrity and ensure compliance with GAAPAnalyze revenue cycles, including Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care reimbursementsAssist with cost reporting and regulatory filings specific to Home HealthSupport budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysisPrepare financial statements and supporting schedulesCoordinate with external auditors and assist with annual auditsMonitor internal controls and recommend process improvementsSupport multi-entity or multi-location financial reporting (if applicable)Perform quarterly reconciliation of form 941 to our payroll journal entries to ensure accuracy.Prepare and analyze ad hoc reports for senior management to support strategic planning and informed decision-making.Qualifications RequiredBachelor's degree in Accounting or FinanceMinimum 3+ years of progressive accounting experienceStrong understanding of GAAPExperience with month-end close and financial statement preparationAdvanced Excel skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesPreferredExperience in Home Health or healthcare accountingKnowledge of Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement modelsCPA or CPA-track preferredExperience with healthcare accounting systems or ERP platformsCore CompetenciesHigh attention to detail and accuracyAbility to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication and cross-functional collaboration skillsAbility to handle confidential financial informationWhy Join UsOpportunity to support a mission-driven Home Health organizationGrowing company with advancement potentialCompetitive compensation and benefits packageSalary: $110K - $120K Annually
