Senior AccountantNational Corporate Housing is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant. This person will be an integral member of the Accounting team supporting National's growth and profitability. The Senior Accountant is a critical member of our General Ledger team and a key contributor to the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting. Guided by our vision to be the most admired and respected global company to our coworkers, customers, and suppliers, National is sought out by and maintains strong strategic alliances across multiple business industries including engineering, construction, technology, consulting, insurance, government agencies and government contractors, professional sports and entertainment.Key Responsibilities:Co-own and actively drive the monthly financial close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in accordance with established deadlinesPrepare and post journal entries with appropriate supporting documentationOwn the preparation and review of balance sheet account reconciliations, resolving variances and escalating issues as appropriateMaintain the integrity of the general ledger and ensure all transactions are recorded in accordance with US GAAPServe as a key contributor to the annual financial statement audit, coordinating with external auditors and preparing requested schedules and documentationSupport international statutory audits, bank examinations, 401(k) audits, and other regulatory reviews as neededEnsure accounting policies and procedures remain compliant with applicable standards; leverage accounting research to validate or improve existing practicesProvide day-to-day coaching and guidance to Staff Accountant, supporting their professional development and the accuracy of their workPartner with the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Supervisors to foster a cohesive, collaborative, and high-performing accounting teamServe as a knowledgeable resource for accounting questions across the organization, building trusted relationships with stakeholdersProactively identify opportunities to streamline workflows, improve controls, and increase efficiency across accounting processesPlay an active role in the company's ERP system implementation, including data migration support, testing, documentation, and transition to new workflowsDevelop a deep understanding of our business model and the nuances of temporary housing program management to enhance the quality of financial reporting and analysisProvide support on various accounting and finance related projectsOther duties as assigned by the ControllerRequirements:Bachelor's degree in AccountingMinimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with a focus on general ledger and financial closeStrong technical knowledge of US GAAP and the ability to perform and apply relevant accounting researchAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, complex formulas, data modeling)Experience with accounting systems and ERP platforms; demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to new technologyExperience supporting or participating in external audits (financial statement, regulatory, or compliance)CPA license or active candidate status strongly preferredPrior experience participating in an ERP system implementation or migrationExperience in a multi-entity, multi-currency, or global accounting environmentPublic accounting background (Big 4 or regional firm)Self-starter who takes initiative and follows through without being promptedIntellectually curious — always asking "why" and seeking to understand the business behind the numbersDetail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and qualityHighly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneouslyAdaptable and calm under pressure, especially during close cycles or audit periodsStrong communicator who can present financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance audiencesTeam-oriented, with a collaborative spirit and a desire to contribute to a positive team cultureHardworking and driven by a genuine commitment to excellenceBenefits:Competitive Compensation + Bonus Opportunity: $85,000–$95,000 annual base salary, annual performance-based bonus opportunity of up to 10%Hybrid Work Schedule: Eligible for a hybrid schedule after the initial six months (five days in office during onboarding period)Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance401(k) retirement planPaid time offWellness programFlexible Spending Accounts (FSA)For a complete overview of benefits, please refer to the full benefits summary document.
