This salary position will be reporting to the Accounting Manager.
The primary function of this position is to perform accounting functions for assigned product line, including working with operations to ensure adherence to scheduled month end activities, including reviewing physical inventories, processing journal entries, account reconciliation, and variance analysis.ResponsibilitiesGeneral accounting for assigned product line including month end close, review of physical inventory adjustments, journal entries, review of financial statementsAnalysis of monthly P&L including commentary on significant variancesActive engagement with operating management to understand underlying business issues, ensuring product line financial reports are in compliance with IFRSPrepare monthly performance measures and balance sheet financial reportingAnalysis, and reconciliation of balance sheet accountsParticipate in regular product line team meetings to understand key initiatives, business issues, and develop relationships with product line team members. Prepare and present relevant financial data, as requiredDistribute the monthly product line financial statements to operations, review with them to resolve any unusual items or questionsPrepare other business reporting as required and address ad-hoc business inquiries/requestsPreparation of workpapers and supporting schedules for the mid-year and year end audit process, including tax requestsAssist with monthly forecast and annual budgeting processGuide staff accountant as neededQualificationsBachelors' degree in Accounting3+ years of professional accounting experienceMicrosoft Office products proficiency requiredManufacturing backgroundHyperion, and SAP is a must have.Knowledge of SOX or public accounting experience a plus.Knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), requiredKnowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) basis, a plusAbility to work under time constraints with a large and diverse group of internal customers.Occasional local travel may be requiredExcellent oral and written communication skills, translate financial information to non-financial membersProven ability to manage multiple processes and projects under tight deadlines and to research to resolve ambiguous information effectivelySuccess begins with hiring the right people to partner with us as we grow and develop our businesses.
