Senior Accountant @ CPG

Coda Search has partnered with a rapidly expanding consumer goods company headquartered in Brooklyn, New York. Its brand is building significant traction with consumers across the country, and the company has achieved robust year-over-year growth while continuing to extend its reach throughout the United States. The team is looking to bring on a Senior Accountant who excels in a fast-moving setting, will be central to leading the monthly close, and is motivated by designing processes and procedures that grow alongside the business.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the monthly close, including reconciliations of balance sheet and income statement accounts
• Handle accounting for several entities, recording and reconciling intercompany activity
• Maintain the fixed asset register and administer depreciation schedules
• Use Excel to examine expenses and flag significant variances
• Evaluate vendor invoices and address any vendor-related concerns
• Oversee general ledger reconciliations and record journal entries
• Assist with the year-end audit by compiling schedules and acting as the main point of contact for external auditors

Who You Are:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum of three years of accounting experience
• Proficiency in advanced Excel functions (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
• Experience with NetSuite is highly desirable
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities
