Responsibilities
- Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards
- Prepare entries to general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions
- Generate continuous improvement ideas to reduce complexity and improve accuracy across accounting processes
- Prepare and/or review balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring activity is accurate and reconciling items are cleared timely
- Provide management teams with accurate and timely financial analysis, including scenarios, options, and recommendations as needed
- Assist with the integration of acquisitions and the appropriate accounting treatment of divestitures
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3+ years of accounting experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to draw insights from financial data
- Solutions-oriented mindset; comes with recommendations in addition to questions
- Self-starter with solid organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities or shifting project needs
- Direct exposure to M&A activity, including acquisition integration and divestiture accounting
- A seat at the table for financial analysis that actually informs management decisions, not just historical reporting
- Hybrid schedule based in Westerville, OH with a team that values process improvement ideas
