We are looking for a Senior Accountant to work for our client. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.

Responsibilities
- Drive the monthly close by preparing journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Produce GAAP-compliant financial statements and supporting schedules
- Research and resolve account variances, tracing issues back to their source
- Provide data and analysis for budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting
- Prepare audit documentation and respond to auditor requests
- Spot opportunities to simplify close tasks and tighten internal controls
- Work with Operations, Procurement, and other departments to keep financial data accurate
- Review the work of staff accountants and offer feedback and support
Qualifications
- 3+ years of accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting setting
- Solid grasp of GAAP and the month-end close cycle
- Experience with ERP/accounting platforms and strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups)
- Analytical thinker with careful attention to detail
- Able to balance recurring deadlines and special projects in a hybrid setting
- CPA or progress toward CPA a plus
