Senior Accountant

LHH is partnering with a well-established professional services organization to identify a Senior Accountant who will support key accounting operations, financial reporting activities, and process improvement initiatives. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with visibility across multiple areas of the business. This position is hybrid after training and will pay between $70K and $95K annually depending on experience and education.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain financial reports, journal entries, and supporting accounting documentation.
• Manage general ledger activity and perform month-end account reconciliations.
• Research and resolve account variances, discrepancies, and outstanding items.
• Review reconciliations and accounting schedules for accuracy and completeness.
• Assist with tax reporting, liability tracking, and compliance-related activities.
• Reconcile bank accounts and support cash management processes.
• Maintain and enhance internal accounting controls and procedures.
• Ensure accurate recordkeeping and documentation of financial transactions.
• Perform financial analysis, reporting, and special projects as assigned.
• Support system implementations, business integrations, and accounting process improvements.
• Recommend workflow enhancements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Provide guidance and support to junior accounting team members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Public accounting experience is a plus.
• CPA designation or progress toward certification is preferred.
