This position will play a key role in the day-to-day accounting functions and month-end close process.Job Duties:Support and participate in the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement close process including preparation of monthly journal entries, accruals and reserves, reconciliation and reviews of balance sheet accounts and performing inquiries / reviews.Reviewing and analyzing GL transactions and accountsPreparing materials for financial and tax auditsSupporting day-to-day accounting functions (GL / Inventory & Tax Compliance)Support the Controller in identifying improvements to automate existing processes for increased efficienciesWorking cross functionally with other departments and building strong relationships with external vendors and customersAssist in development and management of staff accountantsConducting ad-hoc analysis to support finance leadership requestsQualifications:Minimum of 5+ years of experience in accounting role, preferably within finance, consulting, or techBig 4 experience a plusBachelor's Degree in Finance or AccountingExperience with Microsoft Office Suite; Advanced MS Excel skills (Logical Formulas, Lookups, Pivot Tables)An eye for the details, and the ability to deliver accurate output in a timely mannerStrong organizational skills and comfort with managing multiple work streamsWorking knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and technical accounting areasA champion for data accuracy and quality for the Accounting teamThrives in a demanding, start-up, fast paced environmentNetSuite / Intacct or large ERP system experience a plusChi: $78,000 - $120,000The expected salary range above is applicable if the role is performed from Illinois and may vary for other locations (California, Colorado, New York).
