A large, publicly traded global manufacturing organization is seeking a Senior Accountant to play a key role within its centralized corporate accounting function — supporting daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and driving continuous improvement across close and reporting processes.

This is a hands-on ownership role for an experienced accountant who thrives in a complex, multi-entity environment and wants real responsibility across lease accounting, fixed assets, SOX compliance, and process improvement.

What You'll Do:

• Coordinate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
• Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations
• Serve as the primary owner of lease accounting and fixed asset processes — collaborating with global business units to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Investigate and resolve accounting issues and perform analytics on overall financial results
• Ensure accurate and timely consolidation system reporting and submissions
• Ensure integrity and compliance of all financial transactions with US GAAP and internal standards
• Coordinate internal and external audit requests and lead efforts to remediate audit and control findings
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for key accounting processes
• Identify and lead process improvement initiatives across close and reporting functions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline accounting operations
• Participate in special projects as assigned

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Prior supervisory or team lead experience required
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting standards
• SOX compliance experience required
• Proficiency in ERP systems — SAP, JDE, or similar
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
