A leading real estate development and investment organization is adding a Senior Accountant to its growing corporate accounting team in Charlotte, NC.

We're open to candidates coming from public accounting or directly from the real estate/construction industry .
What You'll Do
- Manage month-end and quarter-end close activities for multiple entities
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations and financial statements
- Analyze financial results, variances and balance sheet activity
- Support accounting for real estate development projects, investments and joint ventures
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow analysis
- Support annual audits and tax-related requests
- Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with GAAP
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls
- Assist with special projects related to new developments, acquisitions and business growth
What We're Looking For
- 3–6+ years of accounting experience
- Public accounting experience or strong real estate/construction industry experience
- Experience in real estate, construction, investment or another project-based environment is a plus
- Strong understanding of GAAP
- Experience with month-end close, xhqgsiq reconciliations and financial reporting
- Ability to manage multiple entities and competing priorities
- CPA or CPA eligibility is a plus
