Senior Accountant

Carolina PRG is partnering with a North American manufacturing company to identify a Senior Accountant. This role will support month-end close, financial reporting, and inventory accounting while partnering with operations to improve accuracy, strengthen controls, and provide insight into business performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Support month-end and year-end close, including journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, investigate variances, and explain key drivers of results.
  
• Reconcile inventory balances and review inventory transactions for accuracy.
  
• Support inventory valuation, excess and obsolete inventory reserves, and cost-of-goods-sold analysis.
  
• Partner with plant and operations teams on physical inventories, cycle counts, and resolution of discrepancies.
  
• Assist with manufacturing cost analysis, including material, labor, and overhead variances.
  
• Maintain internal controls and provide documentation for external audits.
  
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, and ERP workflows.
  

Qualifications

• 
  
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
  
• Three or more years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
  
• Experience with month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial analysis.
  
• Exposure to inventory accounting or cost accounting. xhqgsiq
  
• Strong Excel skills and experience working with an ERP system.
