Carolina PRG is partnering with a growing manufacturing company in the Charlotte area is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its corporate accounting team. This is a great opportunity for someone coming directly from public accounting or with a combination of public accounting and corporate accounting experience who is looking to continue building their career within a strong organization.

Responsibilities:
- Support the monthly, quarterly, and year end close process
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
- Perform balance sheet and general ledger account analysis
- Prepare financial reporting and supporting schedules
- Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and variances
- Assist with internal and external audit requests
- Support internal controls and accounting policies and procedures
- Partner with cross functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Identify opportunities to improve and streamline accounting processes
- Assist with special projects and ad hoc financial analysis as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
- 2+ years of relevant accounting experience
- Public accounting experience strongly preferred , including xhqgsiq candidates looking to make their first move into industry
- Combination of public accounting and corporate accounting experience also highly desired
- Big 4 or national/regional public accounting firm experience preferred
- CPA or progress toward CPA preferred
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
- Strong Excel skills
- Manufacturing experience is a plus but not required
